‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗ 1. The proccess At the begining of the project I started with learning about different types of documentaries and their convntions. I was introduced to the different clients I could work with and I choosed Norwich for Jobs and John Crome (Norwich School of Painting). Norwich for Jobs was my first choice, because I wanted to help young people who cannot find job. As a young person myself I understand the strougle with finding job very well and I thought that I could relate to this project on a prsonal level. Similary was with me second choice, where I could express my love to art. Both project were very interesting, however I felt like Norwich for Jobs has larger impact on the comunity and it can do lots of good and I wanted to help with that. I learned even more about interviewing people and setting up the cameras and the choisen location. I learned how to ask questions so the interview can go smoothly. I learned about lightining and how impor...

Client Feedback

‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗ After showing our short edit and the edit that we have done so far on the mini ducumentary, our client made some comments based on those. We have been told that the short edit, which contains James' interview and the cut aways, looks very well. Our client really liked the modern and creative approach to it. We have been told that it looks good and does not need any changes. I thought that it is a big success for me. I managed to produce a project that our client liked without suggesting any chnges. It made me feel more comfident with my work and the decisions i am making towards making the final outcome. I did not show them the director edit, because I believe it will not be wanted, as it contains not too long introduction to the company. It was my personal, creative approach to the footage. After watching the edit that we have done so far on the mini documentary, we have been told to cut the parts where Job centre, specyfic peopl...

The footage is about 20 minutes long and it needs to be shorten to about 4 minutes without including the questions.   3.Key edit decisions taken within that time frame and a discussion of their creative impact  The largest and more important decision that I had to make during the process of editing was to break down James's' interview into small parts that contain the most interesting and powerful statements. It had to entertain and inspire. It also had to fit it 2 minutes where the whole interview was about 20 minutes long. It was a big challenge and it took the most  of the time. From the best answers I picked the best parts of them and then I spend ...
